Hi there! I recently went on a trip to Antarctica and was asked by my sister to record my thoughts and pictures in a travel blog. I'm so glad she recommended that because it's been a great way to capture things that otherwise would have been lost, share those with a broader group of people than I'd normally be able to, and a way to keep these memories alive for a long time to come.
And surely the internet needs more travel blogs?
A bit about the trip
I found out about the trip opportunity from the Wynn's, a YouTube couple that I've been following for many years. You can see them tease the trip publicly on their channel here.
When they first announced the trip to their patrons, they said they had a few slots available and I decided to apply and for some reason Cath (the organizer of this trip) decided to say yes, as in her words "we needed the goofy guy". (that wasn't the angle I was going for in my application email... but I'll take it!)
But their first full video AFTER the trip is here (and I'll keep posting them here as they make them since they don't quite match the chronology of the posts as I wrote them.)
